Geez, Rose. Where did you get this news? I haven't been phoned. I'm curious and am going to phone Fidelity now. I wonder how to interpret this. I guess they want all the margin calls satisfied by tomorrow to get this over with. But that might create more margin calls for others! I'll get back to the thread shortly.

It took a while to get through to Fidelity, but you are right. Anyone with a 75K over over margin call is being put on notice. If market conditions get bad Fidelity will try to contact the customers but if they can't will liquidate.

I asked the trader if they'd ever done this before and she said, "Not to my knowledge."
