dk: What a touching post about Duchess! I had chills reading it. How very fortunate for your angel girl that she found her way to you & Rae. You'd never guess from the happy expression in her pictures that she had once been so abused. And now a calendar model? My daughter volunteers at an animal shelter every weekend. The shelter never euthanizes any of their cats & dogs, & they try to find homes for them all. And yes, it is sweet when they come & put their head on your knee while you're checking your closing prices. As a friend likes to say, "They are a lot of company." If things are bleak tomorrow, let's go throw the ball for the pups!
