I slept all afternoon. Missed the Red Sox win. I just went through all the posts. Wow! Great talk, great thoughts, strategy. What I mean is...great. You guys are thinking...and are not content to be led. Tonight at 9:00 p.m. est is a story about Jane Goodall and her work with chimps. A close look and you will spot Dortmunder when he was a teenager. (Lee)

Any good sources on "reserve" funds? Everyone is getting discombobulated about big figures such as 1 TRILLION (I've seen a lot of this ... capitalization of the word TRILLION and BILLION) and it is a lot of money to you and me. But compared to the $18 trillion you just mentioned, it's minor.

I think you'll be surprised by how much money is really sitting on the sidelines. I also haven't heard much talk about the money made (or about to me made) with more sophisticated instruments such as options.

Abby was right. We have witnessed a serious market event, but most of the talk about economic implications have been primarily "what-if" scenarios, or generalizations.

Really, what has changed about the new economy stocks? There is still a HUGE labor shortage in this country. We are still THE player in all areas of technology. My vacation to Disney this year is still on, as well as my month in Japan!

Yes, some peoples 401Ks became 301Ks. Yes, there will be a slowdown in big-ticket item purchases, but nobody was in these big-ticket manufacturers anyhow...
