Joan, I was under the (possibly false) impression that the treasury is actually redeeming some debt (thus, so goes the "wisdom" the inverted curve), but if they are net redeemer, it must be because national debt is somehow decreasing.

Joan, all of my hubbies 401k funds are in the money market at the present time. It seems like savings to me. I do think that even those who hold funds in stocks should be given partial credit. After all, even if it drops by 50%, it's worth something.
