News: biz.yahoo.com Appears that in this deal LDP will make more than $100 million on last year's investment of $9.6 million. The deal to close this quarter. 14.47% of $750 million = $108.5 million BTW, I believe this is tax free (held by LPAL.) Sitera is another one of those "off the radar screen" investments that LDP has that contrasts with Mayan or Silicon Spice or some others that are already widely recognized in the VC community as being top quality investments. Also, this demonstrates that these investments do not necessarily need to IPO for LDP to benefit substantially. That's why it is reasonable to place a multiple on LDP's private equity even in the current market conditions. The VC division is certainly not as worthless as being perceived right now. BTW, I believe NUFO is currently scheduled the week of May 8.
