Daniel, ---------No, mostly I come here to get sanctimonious lectures. Here is one of your first posts...Scumbria, I don't read this thread much, but I'm somewhat fascinated by all the flacks who think that anybody who says anything negative about Rambus the technology is just an investor in somebody that Rambus is trying to shake down. There are a lot of geeks around who just think it's really stupid to pay 5x as much for memory with no perceivable performance gain. Then there's the ever pleasant habit of the Rambus types always emulating the mother company in threatening legal action against anybody who says anything bad about Rambus. Feh. It's one thing when Intel sends out the legal dogs of war, at least they got good engineering (aside from the fiasco of their various Rambus-enabled chipsets) , and actually build stuff themselves. Rambus thinks they're going to take over the world with bogus patents, well, maybe. Then you continue in following posts...You guys are nuts. isn't it required to be obnoxious on this board? Isn't that the Rambus way? So you start off by being insulting, continue being insulting, and post nothing of value the entire time except a continual rant about the price of RDRAM. Yes, you deserve a sanctimonious lecture. If you want to post information of value and stop the insults, the lectures will stop. -------------AMD has been a pretty good investment for the past month, though. As compared to it being a lousy investment for almost any other time period you might look at? --------------50 posts on the AMD thread in the past month is pretty wimpy compared to your 50 posts here in the past 3-4 days, eh? Sorry that I can't claim to match your "productivity". No need to apologize. Since you're posting non-substantive messages, it certainly would be hard to stretch that into more posts <G>. However, my point was that you are clearly a supporter of the AMD agenda. Actually, you state your position best in your own words (http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=13325854):Somehow, though, I very much doubt Rambus would have the nerve to try and pull this crap without Intel muscle behind them. It would sure be nice to see them both go down together on this one. So to repond to your first statement ("I'm somewhat fascinated by all the flacks who think that anybody who says anything negative about Rambus the technology is just an investor in somebody that Rambus is trying to shake down."), the answer is not always, but in your case it's clear that that's exactly your motive. ---------------I feel your pain, though. I've been flat since 440-450 except for a small trade (on which I lost a little money) in the mid-200s. I'm not feeling any pain right now. Anyway, RMBS is up roughly 130% for the year even at the current price. Ouch, the pain! The pain! Dave
