Kirk: It's too difficult to wait until the market is down 20%, and then retroactively sell as of 1/5/00. In this high risk period for the market, I'm more interested in preserving capital, rather than who is right, wrong, or amused. Moreover (and I know you are not saying this in your post), it doesn't make sense (to me) for people to argue that NASDAQ and market PE's reasonably valued before last week's market slide. When I buy a stock, I'm buying future earnings, not some revenue multiple. P
