web sites - foreign exchanges & overseas markets.

From: John E.Quinn Sunday, April 16, 2000
... a site to follow overseas markets.
wwfn.com

From: William Harvey Sunday, April 16, 2000
... I use Yahoo's site for foreign exchanges:
quote.yahoo.com

The new SI feature lets one jump to a post number,
so it might be useful if things start to rock & roll
to have a single post contain url's like above,
and if someone wants to share another url of interest
then this person can copy the group of 3 lines
of the last post containing From:, description, http...
so we can obtain one moving place in a post numbered
for a jump to.

For example,
Go to reply#: 51632
on this GPM thread will take you here
and you only have to remember the 51632 number
or the next post number if another post adds another url
and creates a next bigger & better reference url post.

Doug- That's too bad about Handy & Harman. In the 70's I remember they were a quality blue chip. Haven't followed them since then. My old favorite Sunshine Mining SSC (not quite a blue chip) has come on hard times too. You could buy Gold and Silver from them with an 800 number back then. They also had a buy back program.

Could be that technology is driving all the old line companies out of existence like the bricks and mortar consumer companies are said to be. Maybe we're destined to live out our lives on server farms like "Donovan's Brain".
