Obviously they didn't heed his advice and now we are paying for it... You have to understand that Joel Klein has a mission. He is clueless as to what is good for American business and a conglomerate of companies are using him and the states Attorney Generals to gain competitive edge over Microsoft. After this is all played out, this will go down in history as another messianic mission that springs up from time to time in America. If Klein is successful, the Clinton Whitehouse and the current Congress will be remembered for fettering competition within an already ultra-competitive industry... the same industry that put us in the prosperous and lengthy expansion that we now enjoy. It might be noted that it was these types of attacks on corporate America that eventually doomed the Democrats in 1980. Greenspan is correct... Klein is on a mission... simple as that.
