Robert,
Have you read the recent prospectus which elaborates on
GBLX's competition. Seems like lots of fiber competition
internationally and substantially more being planned, the
current market conditions may slow expansion by competitors
which may bode well for GBLX which is well underway and
looks to become profitable before too long. It almost seems
inevitable that there will need to be consolidation or
acquistions/mergers to eliminate the fragmentation that
has developed. At some point someone will want to be "king
of the hill" in broadband and establish dominance in this
industry. If you had to guess which international corporation wanted to own that distinction in the
telecommunications market who would you pick. My guess is
IBM since they recently decided to partner with Q+USW to
compete by building "hubs" similar to what Global Centers
will do. This will in effect force the issue for other
big players to jump in with both feet or get out of the game. This single action will be the catalyst for a takeover
of GBLX and FTHL by other contenders, IMO.
