Ron: The issue is not whether or not to own stock -- the issue is whether or not you have any savings. Americans must now learn a painful lesson -- they have to learn to save. The Japanese have a lot of weird problems -- but at least they know how to save. I think they are getting tired of lending us their money -- and we are going to have to do more of it for ourselves -- that leaves a $400 billion whole each year to be filled (total of the US current account deficit).
