There is another reason for the Nikkei to drop, related to the inflation numbers on Friday and not the Naz decline.

The appearance of inflation in the US means the fed will keep raising rates to slow the US economy. Continued economic recovery in Japan depends on exports, mainly to the US. An economic slowdown here means less demand for imports from everywhere, including Japan.

All IMHO.

Don, that's so typical...in Japan, whenever there's a problem, why just shut the market down. see Tocom's recent freezing of the palladium market...
