I would dismiss this "could be used in missiles" as pure marketing hype had it originated from Sony. But the Japanese Government's insistence along the same lines seems no less different - if this game console truly had military possibilities, putting it on an "export control list" is just inviting trouble. Were the Japanese truly concerned, they would ban its production altogether. As it stands now, there is nothing stopping an enterprising Saddam Hussein from picking the machine up at the nearest Tokyo "Wal-Mart" and reverse engineering it back in Baghdad.
