And 451 new lows tonight, Kevin. Even more interesting, to my mind, is the tiny number of new highs (21) -- almost as tiny as on Black Friday. (Before I go on -- thanks for directing me to the SI Stock Screener for this info. I am a former devotee of Classic SI, and frankly, I still have not explored all the resources of the new site.) And the kind of companies making new highs should tell us something. On Friday, no tech companies at all; on Monday, just one -- Pairgain. The rest are mostly very low p.e. companies, including a bunch of old-fashioned, dividend-paying utilities and real estate trusts. Better than bonds! jbe
