Oh really??? The fact that the oil price spike has abated, and the fact that demand will be signifigently curtailed because of the reduced wealth effect will sloww this rampent inflation you refer to. Please give us a break, Inflation has to do with to few goods being chased by to much money. The money just got sucked out of the system on Friday, and though Inflation numbers might trend a litlle in the near term they are going DOWN, DOWN, DOWN. Why do you think the long bond had such a strong rally? If this market does not recover it will cause a recession but it will be brought on me DEflation not inflation. If the US consumer dies, then so does the ASIAN and European recovery. Then where will the demand come to bid up goods? In actuality defaltion is much more freightening then inflation.
