An interesting comment from Mark Weiss in the Yamner Brokerage report...

"if you bought Microsoft the day before the 1987 crash you paid an approximate split adjusted cost of 80 cents."

Cause I bet you didn't buy that Expedition expecting it to appreciate in value. And if it in fact does appreciate nicely, you really don't care if you paid 5-10% more.
