8:00 am EST Looking a lot better from last night in terms of futures etc. JDSU premarket running across the screen on CNBC has ranged from $75 to $79. The SI RTQ has a bid and ask of 77.5-78.00. Much better than I expected but the morning is very very very young.

Stand by for action stations troops!

That's company specific, in my mind. The probability of that outcome was well known months in advance to almost everyone.

However, many are looking for scapegoats, smoking guns, etc.

I just look at the sudden realization by many that stocks were overvalued and there are no catalysts to keep it going at the rate of acceleration that got us here.

It's the same thing that Willey Coyote experiences when he chases Road Runner off a plateau edge and then realizes he's in mid air and has mass (and no wings).

He looks at the audience and frowns, and then.......drops like a stone.
