4.46am and checking the markets! Some fun at the opening but $10tn bargain hunting means no big drop.

Looks like a fizzer and no big collapse, but no doubt a stunned market won't immediately roar up. People will feel a little chastened and maybe yet get that sinking feeling again as whittle whittle whittle away takes a toll...

I have no idea what the profits will be this quarter and don't know about Kyocera buying the handset division. I guess things will be increasingly profitable, with increasing revenue [after the handset division has been off the books a while]. The big picture is so fuzzy that I have no idea about the quarterly stuff and don't worry about it.

I'd be happy to see R and D pushed up and profits go to the wall until cdma2000 is rolled out.

Must go back to sleep...
