I sold my longs acquired friday and I am now totally in cash with the exception of my wife's AMZN. And I am glad of it! I absolutely blew one trade in my mother's accunt, selling EMC (bought at 110) for 113, only to watch it hit 119?? Arrrrrg.

i hope you got a chance to trade today. I missed the bottom prices today (because i wanted to see how we would close)... But I did nibble on some old techs (the popular names) this is all part of the bottom process.. very surprised that we didn't plunge down and then reverse (many were surprised that this didn't happen on CNBC said) can't retrieve chart data, so I haven't done any research yet.

even without the MSFT news, market is ready for another down move. question is: do we make lower lows or hold? I checked out csco chart.... and if you look at it on daily scale, it hit the 50 sma from the underside and their also a november to april upward trending trendline that stopped the current csco rally. Doesn't look good... question again, is does csco break down below 55 or hold??? still in cash in trading portfolios.

in times of a confusing market, that's when I trust the indicators and TA the most. not the market gurus on CNBC.

I've found a good website that has a powerful stock screener. As you know the large name stocks are under pressure by the market. One has to dig deeper and search harder for good technical setups for short-term trades. I think I found one. Will post on the results of this study in the near future. Sorry, can't reveal the website
