Not in the way I am suggesting for the last 6 years. The idea I have in mind is like the arrangement they had with AAPL in the early '90s.

That was the only example I could think of as well....I think they were one of the ones that didn't get kissed.

What is NGWS?

I have a feeling that even MSFT doesn't know this yet.

Does Home 2.0 compete with IE?

Good point, it doesn't compete, it allows it to be. It facilitates. IE and Netscape both do.

I guess IE competes with Windows. Does Navigator compete with windows?

Haven't you heard that the desktop is dead? When you start seeing $99 internet appliances attached to a broadband connection, using netbased productivity apps, storing your data on virtual hard drive on the web you have to start thinking that perhaps having that big Windows program running behind your browser isn't necessary.

So in the instance that ATHM goes in the direction that AOL seems to want to go, away from Windows, than I'd have to say MSFT has an enormous incentive to work out the facilitation problem with ATHM. We know they are in the best position experience-wise to pull it off. Much more so than the "portal" guys we married.

The usability on the interface for Windows has actually evolved to the point where the Mac guys are copying features from Windows, instead of the other way around. Now that says a lot.

OT: Ahaha, is there a ticker symbol for the put-to-call ratio? I found the symbol for the volatility index (^VIX). If there is no ticker symbol, any website that offers updated ptc ratios?

This is tough. ATHM going below 20?? Looks like it. Other than what has already happened here is what worries me. Is ATHM going to be totally overlooked in favor of the big-cap names in the event of a NAS rebound? Certainly seems to be the case today. It does stand to reason that people will flock back to the big guys first. The question is will the SUNW, MSFT, INTC, JDSU etc of the world hold any gains over the next week or so. If not ATHM has no chance. If so, what do you all think is the pocssibility for ATHM.
I want so badly to buy some here but I am just shellshocked. Opinions?
