That's a great quote and I agree with Mr. Livermore. However, I think one must be careful in placing too much importance on book value alone. It can understate a company's true worth. For example, in many places in the south the brand name Krispy Kreme is well known and respected. I think that name recognition has value and that value will increase as Krispy Kreme adds stores. So I would add that "name recognition value" to the book value in determining the stock's price. Still, what's it worth? I don't know. It's not too important to me at this point because, as Mr. Livermore notes, the market has told me I'm wrong regarding investing in IPOs. I just say no to the IPO.

But I do love this company. And I will own some KREM - just later rather than sooner.
