Robert, You are right SEG was the first mover and has the highest shipments to date which is still small. No reason to believe this won't be a commodity business once it is big enough to be meaningful, if it isn't already.

I read that post, but don't know how significant that is. The post said the device uses Seagate's U8-type drives. My impression was that Seagate drives (non enterprise) did not offer cost, nor density, nor capacity, nor noise, nor heat advantages when compared with offerings from WDC, HDD or MXTR. Maybe SEG gives the drives away. How much video can they store on the U8 anyway ? 30 minutes ? Does the U8 come in high capacity, low platter count version ?
