Your suggestion sounds like it'll do the trick. I'll try another approach first -- I'll set the access dates on my files to a year ago. This'll put everything toward the disk's tail. As I use stuff, it'll get moved to the front. I like this approach because it doesn't depend on me remembering to do anything. Your suggestion requires brainpower, a scarce resource around here. Problem is, how do I set the access dates? If I can't, I'll try your method and post myself reminders. Cheers, PW.
