interesting that the broker offered the information that ALL of the brokerages were doing the same thing - and yes, I think the margin call is exactly what was calculated after the close Friday - if their stocks are up a little when they sell, well they just won't have to sell as much.

Also, I would think that the people that are getting liquidated now would be those that got in trouble on Wed/Thu, with maybe a whole new round due tomorrow or Wed after Friday's tank. I've never used margin, so I don't know the mechanics of it, though.
