Never could understand why they don't.. . .Richard, it is just as difficult for companies to know when to make an acquisition or spin-off an IPO or sell off a division. . . as it is for us to know when to buy a stock or sell it. . . and no doubt MORE difficult, because they often need approval by so many individuals before they can act. . .and that can take time, when certain officers require further due diligence before giving their OK.

If you ever want to blow a great opportunity. . .send it to a committee for approval.

Richard- With pooling rules still in effect, most transactions still use stock rather than cash. So the value of the acquiring companies currency is also low during hard times. Besides, deals usually don't happen when things are ugly.

My guess is that LPTHA does not want to be bought at this time. There are plenty of companies that want to continue to manage their own destinies for a variety of reasons.

PS COuld you believe ANCR at 14 and change????
