V: I totally agree...they pushed it to the limit this time....They now have many of 'their ambassadors' on CNN and CNBC (on heavy rotation) to calm the investors...It will take time to rebuild confidence in the internet sector though. In the most recent quarter 'The Houses' have all had record profits (due to high commission volumes, lots of trading and huge quantities of lucrative IPO underwriting)...IMO, we may see 'The Houses' work to shore up the Nasdaq as quickly as they can -- this is essential before the IPO Goldmine could ever kick into gear again...Investors and 'The Houses' will be MUCH more selective about which internet firms they choose to back...In the future STRONG business models and a CLEAR path to profitability will be important....Just my Monday afternoon views...
