Snowshoe; Interesting quote from beefing.com. I really think that the majority of investors do not appreciate this aspect of investing. IMO opinion this correction has been due to panic on the part of institutions - the retail investor in stocks or funds has been standing pat. If that's true then I think we'll see that the funds are the losers. How often will this have to happen before the man in the street begins to abandon professional money management in favour of the do it yourself approach? This leads me to question whether there will be a time in the not so distant future when "control" of the majority of assets passes from institutions to individuals - something I'm sure many of who log on here have wondered about for some time. For myself I jumped into JDSU LEAPS today. At this moment I feel vindicated. Regards Whistler
