StoreAge Networking Technologies Unveils SAN Volume Manager Appliance

Centrally Managed Virtualization of SAN's Storage Resources

HAIFA, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 17, 2000-- StoreAge Networking Technologies, a subsidiary of IIS Intelligent
Information Systems (NASDAQ: IISLF - news), today announced the availability of its new SAN Volume Manager (SVM)(tm).

The SVM is a SAN Appliance that provides virtual volume management in a heterogeneous, multiple server, multiple storage sub-systems, Storage Area Network environment. The SVM features physical device monitoring, volume definitions, and virtual storage allocations for all servers and storage connected to the Fibre Channel loop or fabric. This innovative SAN management appliance provides a common GUI through which storage is virtualized and selectively presented to users in a flexible way with high degree of granularity. Unlike competing solutions, the SVM does not impose any performance penalty on data traffic on the SAN.

The SVM provides an ideal platform for Storage Applications (Remote Mirroring, Snapshot, etc.) and is a key enabler for
functions such as Serverless LAN-free backup, Shared File Systems, Multinode Clusters, and other services that require a uniform overall view of and multiple access to all storage resources of the enterprise.

``This product demonstrates our focus in delivering high quality, state-of-the-art solutions for storage networking, based on the feedback we have been getting from our initial installations. The industry has realized the need for virtualization solutions that are
both server and storage subsystem independent and we are pleased to pioneer this field with our stand alone SVM.'
commented Nelson Nahum, CTO. ``In addition, this SAN appliance allows us to expand our target market. While our
Distributed Enterprise Storage (DES) architecture is especially attractive at the low to mid range of the SAN market, the SVM has very significant advantages at the high end, and in particular to such OEM partners that prefer to market their own RAID subsystem as part of an overall SAN solution' he added.

``With storage and storage networking market growing at fast rates, the demand for SAN products in general and storage
management products for heterogeneous environments in particular will increase significantly, and we think that our Company is well positioned to take advantage of this opportunity,' said Eli Shapira, president.

StoreAge Networking Technologies Ltd. (www.store-age.com) is a privately held company formed to develop and provide
