SargeK; CMGI & tech or FGH ? you tell me nit wit...

SargeK - FGH looks to be a good hold here - "post conference call" - as I said - you'd get to buy it cheaper & you and I both did...

Yes; I did step in on the $6 1/8 play and pound the table a bit. I did think it would rally thru $8 and planned on holding it (not knowing tech would go on sale 2 for 1) - it ran to $7 & petered out - I took much of the gain (allways use stops) and got stopped out. I bought in & out here thereafter. Got stopped out on most of it and I bought more FGH this am & then latter flipped what I bought for a small loss - rotated more $ into tech - CMGI mainly & bought PTEN late in the day, ESV FLC & PGO - it was a no-brainer; I simply see more nearterm upside in tech & the OSX names that I added today - FLC ESV PGO PTEN et al.

So excuse me, for FGH not rallying thru $8+ as I thought it could & should - but; unlike you & the "yahoo's" - I never, ever, fail to let a "better opportunity" pass on by - so I am probably one of the few who would cut loose a great buy near $5 here to buy something I view as a better buy.

Thanks for the re-cap however, but I do remember my FGH history;

1. Played the $10-$15 game long in the good ole days
2. Short at $11 (but, covered way too soon - better safe, than sorrry...
3. Called & nailed the "exact" bottom - to the day, leveraged long at $4 7/8ths for a nice 70%+ short term pop
4. played the $5-$8 range for 2-3 nice 5-10% moves
5. Wiggled in & out here for a wash - kept some LT shares (still got those at $4 7/8ths too (VBG)
6. Holding a small/moderate position in the Long Term account only - other OSX candidates simply better buys with more breakout upside and less risk and I could not pass up the tech & net stocks here - sooooooo exxxxxcuuuuuus me Sluggo !

FGH holds no fatal attraction, or addictive qualities for me Sarge, if something comes along better; I have no problem dumping it & movin on for either a gain, or a loss. - I did today & CMGI made me a 40%-50% margined 1 day pop on 5% of my total holdings. I am not selling my tech however, unless I get stopped out - or untill I get a double, or something dramatic comes along with 2-3 bagger potential at a better price.

You can have your .01 cent daytrade on MEXP & you can continue to hold FGH - give me my CMGI VTSS PMCS et al !

No one predicted the NASDQ opps here Sluggo; so excuse the hell out of me while I take a one day 35%+ leveraged pop on tech all the way to the bank.

Like many; I "DID" think that the NASDQ moved way too quick; but - I also think that it will see 5000+ by year end. - I will build & add to the point of 25-35% tech here and I will maintain that % unless we see something dramatic occur again like we just saw. I bought the black October day of 1998 in tech - and I dumped for penny ante 15-20% moves; and miss the tech - iNet train since.

Not this time - loading up to a 35%ish portfolio position; the tech & Internet story is only in the 2nd, or 3rd inning - max; the real gains are still ahead of us and I think as Joe Battapaglia does; that the NASDQ see's 5000+ again by year end.

Anyone who gets locked into holding a stock like FGH and can't walk away in a heartbeat for a better opportunity that pops up - is just another Freideholic...as you know Sluggo; I've never been one of your group.

I enjoyed the hell outta hitting that FGH sell button actually; I am only holding a few "gems" in my Oilpatch "trading" acct here - concentrating in just a few names and there wasn't room for ole' FGH any longer - given today's red tag sale on better names...and with my margin use - on that PTEN short squeeze play - something had to go & ole' FGH just couldn't make the "varsity" today (VBG) ~

Sarge fwiw - I made more money today; than any day in my adult life - huge $; went 2.5:1 leverage on my tech "bet" - from pre-open buying this am - my post below:

==================================================================

Here's my gains today Sarge: - you tell me if I should of held onto my FGH (ROFLMAO) ? - hell, I even trimmed some HOFF & other stocks too - dont feel bad. I built a nice "basket" of tech stocks today - started in the pre-open as after over 20 hours of weekend research; I was confident of the longterm prospects of these companies. This was my complete list I posted pre-open Sarge. Not a bad call, if I dont say so myself...(VBG)~

Now 22-25% in tech and "may" go to 40%ish - with 60% in Oilpatch - don't hold "any" financials in my trading acct presently.

VTSS +33%
PMCS +32%
CMGI+24%
JDSU +23%
BRCM +21%
WIND +20%
RFMD +20%
KLAC +18%
CSCO+16%
EMC +13%
NOK +12%
QCOM +11%
JNPR +9%
FDRY + 9%
AOL +7%
WCOM +5.6%
NTAP +3% - but, with my pre-open buy I was up 15%
MSFT +2%
YHOO - 1%

PS - how was that 10%/$2 call on PTEN at the days end by the way ? - not bad for some icing on today's cake was it ? - and I wasn't even greedy - passed along a "freebie trade" to the masses after I was in (VBG)~

Got anything else to add here Sluggo ?

PS...the "Gnat" is Phat $!$!$!~

$emper Fi - you crotchety old Phart...have a Pabst for me tonight (VBG)~

The Gnat: "Yes; I did step in on the $6 1/8 play and pound the table a bit."
Message 13449136

Yes, you did. Let the record show: quote.yahoo.com

How convenient, in hindsight that you would have us believe that your purchases were in the low 6s.
Your record indicates otherwise: Message 13447279

Your usual lack of specificity & timing of posts has allowed you to rewrite the script which grossly misrepresents any real record you may have.

Your fatal attraction with FGH (as demonstrated on the Yahoo message board) for months leads me to believe you HAVE LOST you butt, big time on this issue and you have attacked other posters WHO have demonstrated success during the same period.

Again, you may take your "VBG" and shove it up your "VBA"! >smile<

Comment: I don't have time for this crap which is better utilized making money. My apologies to the message board; but, the only way I know how to stop the Gnat from misrepresenting my record is by necessity, detailed and specific.

Have a good day

Ciao'
