JDB,

What can I say, you've got a point. <G>

I think, though, that we've all got to tailor our trading strategies to the type of market at hand. While the Naz was a running bull, trading options on second and third tier stocks, selling naked puts with abandon, even daytrading options, were very lucrative. They ain't now.

Here's to less margin and generally more sober trading.

JDB, I'm glad you're finding the strategy that works for you. If this thread can help, that's great, if not, best of luck.

JDB, you're painting with a broad stroke. Gorillas, kings, and everything below got taken out back and shot in this correction. Granted some are quick to recover, but the net effect on an hourly basis has the potential to be devastating.

I am not a G&K investor, per se, even though I am on this thread. I am just an investor, trying to position myself well in front of the herd.

BTW, I would argue the Kings are better in terms of "quality" for the characteristics of "quality" that you seek than are Gorillas.

JMHO.

LoF

JDB - I too lost sleep repairing naked puts (Aprs) - had to roll them out pretty far unfortunately - what a pain - at least I lowered the strike (JDSU for example rolled to Sept 70s). But it was intense !
