Yep, I still have ARBA and CMRC; JDSU, SDLI and QCOM as well. While I have not moved them into the core portfolio I consider them all as long term holds, even before the tech sell off. I'll just sit back and see what develops over the next three to five years.

Those stocks fall into the I don't care category.
The category that allows me to hold for the long term.
The category that has kept me from liquidating stocks like INTC and CSCO over the years due to the ignorance of Wall Street Gurus.

One only grows large numbers of shares with miniscule cost basis by holding for the long term. If a few don't make it, no problem. The others or even just one of them will more than compensate over the years. P.S. selected use of options can also help lower ones cost basis. Another + over that evil margin stuff.
