Levy the last couple quarters we have seen the same thing...run up 15 min. before the close...lots of expectation on a company that has proven to deliver

John Keister did a terrific job on CNBC!

The "Market Watch" interview by both Ted David and Maria B. was talked about for almost 45 minutes prior to the interview.

John (whose black curls are almost as cool as Russ's) said the following during the interview:

1. 5th continuous quarter of PROFITS for the company.
2. Profits are now almost equally split between between advertising and non-advertising (licensing, subscriptions, e-commerce, etc...) revenue sources.
3. Examples of licensing deals mentioned were NDB, Hasbro, and Alegience.
4. John felt the recent market "shake-out" will actually be a great benefit to GNET. It will greatly help the company in further acquisitions, partnerships, and licensing deals in analyzing which companies have successful business models.
5. John said something like, "Go2Net is really not concerned with the daily ebb-n'-flow of the stock price as WE'RE IN A MARATHON NOT A SPRINT."
6. Mentioning Hypermart regarding how it's evolving to offer a complete Internet solution to small businesses, with GNET getting fees for providing several key services.
7. Mentioned several of GNET's profitable strategic investments, including NDB, and recently the Seattle-based "Ask-Me" (not to mention NTOP).
7. Earnings growth in the next year should be at LEAST 65-70%. And perhaps they will even exceed those figures.
8. Regarding "Broadband," they are working on a "two-prong" broadband launch definitely this year (2000.) The "TV Portal" launch with CHTR, AND a "PC Portal" launch with HSAC, RCNC, and CHTR.

That's about all I could jot down. Anybody who got more information, corrections, and/or additions please feel free to post it.

PS. That was the most I've ever seen GNET talked about on CNBC in a single one hour period. Heck, with the "after hours" talk also, the stock may end up with well over a 20% rise just today alone. Funny thing is, a good friend who has never owned a stock before called me this morning saying he had just come into a very large amount of cash. When he asked me what stock to buy at today's open, I suggested GNET. I think he'll be a "happy camper" today at least. Just buy low, and sell high...The stock market investment "game" is as simple as that. <g>

PPS. OT: A great "sunny" shot of the Space Needle was just over John's right shoulder (where I became "engaged" last year).
