Freeus, Condolences... I think that this is a great example of the difficulty of trying to time markets. For much of the weekend, you were posting laments of how much better off you'd have been if you'd sold a month ago (and who hasn't at least THOUGHT about that!...well, maybe Buckley). From today's experience, it's clear that those kinds of timing decisions work MUCH better when looking through the rear view mirror. In real time, it is impossible to know which way things will go. Economists who are much smarter than we are (or at least have more degrees in this area) have no clue as to what is going to happen. As you lost potential money today, it was also possible that you could have come out ahead. For me, it's too close to gambling (which is why were going to Vegas...to get it out of our systems!). There are enough smart people over here who keep touting LTB&H, and it probably literally pays to heed that advice. Dr Id@thechurchofLTB&H.com
