AJ, thanks for the history lesson. Okay, so it's still a Great country, even though lots of the good guys left for La Jolla, Canada, NZ, Australia etc and G* roaming is not ready. But it would be greater still if Globalstar roaming was cheap and functional. People would take their single phone with them, have the same phone number, have coverage everywhere and not have to buy yet another phone for their trip. Trimode phones are expensive! There are sure to be lots of places where there is no coverage with terrestrial. People will increasingly want assured contact.
