I saw the Boss in 85 and in 94. After the 94 show I came away knowing he was no longer the Boss. Just before that I had seen U2.......NOW THEY WERE THE BOSS!

One night last year I hit a dog that had escaped out of its yard and ran out in front of me. I wasn't going that fast (maybe 20 mph), but it was enough to throw her about 20 feet down the road. So I stopped the car and got out, and could tell there was damage to the hind quarters. I picked up the animal, and my wife drove us to the pet hospital. Luckily, the dog had tags, and the owner was called. I stayed there a while, and xrays were done which showed the dog had a broken hip. After a while, the owner and a little 7 year old boy showed up. After discussing the dogs injury (broken hip) with the vet, the owner said there was no way he could afford to pay for the surgery. I looked over and saw his sons face just drop when the man said that they needed to have the dog put down. Of course, being the sucker that I am, I asked the vet how much it would cost...and yes, I ended up paying for the operation.

Annie (the dog) is now living a very happy life with her owner and his son. It was one of the best things I've ever paid for in my life.

And if you were still in school, the doggy
would surely have eaten your homework as well.
FOR REAL, and not the fictionalized account
frequently relied upon by those lacking in creativity.<g>

Sorry you missed the Boss.
I bet he gives good concert!

Dang, next you're going to tell me that your portfolio value went down significantly in the past couple of weeks. Hope that Mr. Chewsalot and the lostchick are ok.

Kirk,

This memory will last way longer then the Springsteen concert ever would

I was totally infatuated with Springsteen as far back as 1975. Here is a bit of trivia.....24 years ago...(yikes..nearly a quarter of a century ago..isn't that a scary thought??) On April 15, 1976 Bruce Springsteen played at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.....and was egged and booed off stage. I was a mere teen at the time...and furious with my mother that she would not allow me to go to the concert. She said that it was my sister's birthday and I was too young to go. I was totally infatuated with him..at that time he represented the epitome of Sexy!!! Years later I was so disilusioned when he married Julianne Philips. I would tease Mike telling him that the only reason that Bruce married Julianne, was cause he found out I was already married!!! <ggg>
