WE NEED MORE GAIN !!!

re: TXN, yeah, it's a good CORE TechStock. otoh, MOT is like ERICY - you can't trust it. Have replaced MOT in CORE with HWP (my second choice was EMC). So...

TXX = [IBM+MSFT+DELL:HWP+AAPL+SUNW]:[CSCO]:[TXN+INTC:AMAT]

re: your scenario...

a) INTC & Co have a bumper qtr
b) Lemmings hit it for the exits

...seasonal pattern has been Easter rally after TaxTime withdrawal of liquidity, followed by uneasy Trading Range characterized by lack of confidence/leadership with persistent decay until sometime in June, when end-of-quarter dress-up rally perks things up again.

Fundamentally, bonds look sick again; this drop was too quick to completely chill working-class consumerism (besides, there's not a heluva lot else to do over here other than go out and buy something - it's entertainment).

Economic data distorted by OIL and TRANSPORT COSTS last month will show big drops in OIL and AIRFARES this month; but then they usually gouge us for OIL and TRAVEL during the Summer (^_^)

But then, we don't have to go over there to pump EuroLand anymore: every Dodge Minivan sold puts DEM in your pockets now. Somers/Telekom better get his shit together, though :-/
