Dear JDN: That fellow on the radio is probably into TA. As I just said to tech, right now, a quick drop back to Friday's closing prices would not bother me--I could race over to Schwab before the market closed and do my final regular to Roth move for 2000.

Both of us have invested long enough to have gone through a number of bear markets. This, or, rather last week, just does/did not have the same "feel" to me. It sounds as if you can not get too excited about bear market gloom, either.

SUNW and ARMHY reported last week. Both had blow-out earnings (and ARMHY's was actually eye-popping) and look great going forward. CMB [okay, I hold bank stocks, too] reported yesterday and again, blow-out earnings and a future for shareholders to jump up and down about. For EMC, "EMC sees big rise in profit Storage firm posts better-than-expected profit:"

No gloom and doom. Not the kind of corporate atmosphere for a bear market.

Lynn
