Raised earnings estimates for next quarter?

I would think that analysts would raise their EPS estimates for next quarter (and the year) now.................(good news, of course)...according to Yahoo, current EPS estimate (average consensus) for Q2 is .34 vs. .27 in the year ago period (an increase of "only" 25.9%).....for the year, "only" 30.9% EPS growth expected, $1.44 vs. $ 1.10.

I would think that the 2nd quarter figure would be raised, on average, at least a couple pennies (to .36...that would represent 33% growth, y-o-y), for EMC grew EPS 50% this past quarter.
.36 would seem to be a more-than-doable consensus..

Is there any reason which would lead to a slowdown in EMC's EPS momentum for Q2? (I can't think of any...)

Looks like a real solid quarter....but the devil, of course, is in the details (CC)..hopefully the integration, product launches are on/ahead of target..

To all: Well, things appear to be right on track to meet their targeted Revenue numbers in 2001. (12B). Anyone notice their NAS contribution? Guess that settles it once and for all as to whether or not EMC has NAS as well as SAN. JDN
