<< And as the cuban govt has said, Elian is property of the cuban state." >>

He is property of the Cuban state right now. Fido Castro has ownership of all Cuban children. Since the U.S. refuses to allow a "property" dispute on the Elian case, ownership still rests with Castro.

Living down here in Miami, I have always wondered why Castro doesn't try to make more problems for the U.S. Fido Castro, a known child molester, only torments the lives of his own people.

I think that there are cozy arrangements between the U.S. and Castro that are not known to either populations. In this case, if the U.S. sides with Castro on Elian, perhaps Castro will cooperate with the U.S. on stopping Cuban immigration!?
