Leigh - re: I am sure that Compaq and many others laughed when Dell set his sight on being the #1 boxmaker. Who is laughing now? Leigh I said DELL would surpass CPQ as the #1 PC vendor 2 years ago - both here and on the CPQ thread. I predicted it would happen by 2001 - and that looks like what will happen. But by the way, they have not actually done that yet - just another example of the DELL PR getting ahead of reality. I would like them to get people to focus on what they are doing well instead of getting people to focus on an area where DELL has a VERY hard road... Let's see if I am as accurate about this as I was on the shift to DELL in the PC market. SUNW is a hard target.
