the history is that fundamental data like that usually don't matter to this market. last year there was a vicious sell-off once on the trade data. but that was the only instance, aside from the '87 crash, which was also preceded by a particularly nasty set of trade data.

in any case, what really matters is liquidity...and there's more paper coming to the market than new money.

Those two, Cliggett and Bloch, were bears so their asset allocations aren't going to affect anyone, except on a positive surprise. In other words, they're not pushers.
