Right off the top of my head, the rain forests in Brazil aren't really renewable in any reasonable time period.

I agree that some resources are slowly renewable and that there has been a lot of irresponsible harvesting of them.

What I guess we don't know at this point, is what the long term repercussions are.

I still don't believe all that I have read concerning the ozone layer and it's effect on global warming.

Time will tell.

Paleontologists have been digging in the Brazilian jungles for years. They have discovered a consistent layer of ash all throughout the jungle. They date it from about 2,000 years ago. Their theory is that the entire jungle had burned to the ground.. But guess what? It grew back.. Imagine that.

Don't get me started or I tell you about the massive comet that struck in 7120 B.C. and change the entire face of the Earth. All the trees grew back after that one also.. Imagine that.
