The General did good...(Marine-to-marine)...12b by end of 2001? ("We're right on track"; "Increasing momentum during year")...will EMC be effected by the shake-out in internet cos.? ("This year, post-Y2K, Fortune 2000 companies are heavily jumping on building their "E" presence; Storage growth a big part of that, strong...he de-emphasized the internet's % of EMC's sales)..."will cash burn problems of internet's affect credit sales (whimsical answer: "Because of our Northeastern (Boston) heritage- I paraphrase- we are naturally conservative there...cash up front"..)

But best of all, as JDN stated, he had a great answer for the "IBM-400 million question"...Solid...

JRI, all right, got back from 2 meetings and see you guys got EMC back in the black! Maybe General Ruettgers had something to do with it too?

In today's particular case, I do not think The Field Marshal had much to do with the reversal of fortunes of EMC, rather, I think that a combination of profit taking and weak hands sold off early... only to recoup the lost ground and more, for a gain of about 10 points from the 120 gallows to its current (today's), high of just shy of 130.

I hope more of these hell raising rides are up in store in the years to come... it's almost as good as sex !!!
