I would like nothing more than to sit down with you guys and have a cold beer. I too bought in heavily (and some margin) in the low 50's thinking I had really out smarted the poor souls who did not know the diamond in the ruff we have here in Aware. We learned a great deal about how easily this market can be manipulated, and I bet you all those aware options that we will NOT make the same mistake twice. So in 6 months when we have our money back and then some, let's sit down and have another beer and figure out how we are going to grow our money by out smarting the jerks who drive this market like a 16 year old drunk.

Sorry to hear that and see you so upset Jess. I don't know what to say and all I can think of right now is Forrest Gump! Let's see what's in the CC of benefit.

my man, you have company. Last year I had over $100,000 in the markets (for me that was a lot) right around this time. Well last April there was a market drop (not as severe as this one but enough to cause problems) a couple of weeks before options expiration. I had just started playing with options that January, and had fantastic success. By the time April rolled around I was 100% in calls (all big companies that had earnings etc.). Naturally this was an idiotic thing to do in retrospect, but there I was sitting fat in mid-April 1999. By the end of the month my $100,000 had turned into literally 0! I lost everything I had.

I have to run now, but I will add more later when I get home.

to be continued...

It is indeed a pity that a quality stock like AWRE would be subject to the same forces of the rest of the market. The market is so volatile. You must protect your investments with stops though sometimes they don't work so well. Today when it seemed like SCMR was at 68 3/4 I put a stop in at 66. Then my computer went down for 45 minutes and when I next checked I was stopped out at 66 and the stock was at 74. I don't know how that keeps happening to me.
