dh,

1. >>the real possibility of lower eps this q.<<

i'd suggest, very strongly, an english comprehension class. -ng- you don't even know what possibility means, huh?

>>"As expected, second quarter revenues reflected lower shipments in our chip business," Qualcomm Chairman Irwin Jacobs said in a statement.<<

lower shipments in the chip business? duh, einstein, isn't that what i said? i don't remember qcom saying that they expected lower asic shipments at any time during the quarter.

$0.25 is a decent number, if real (i noticed it excluded some "charges" that are easy to finagle), for a company trading near a 50 pe. actually, it they are poor results for a 50 pe company, but i expect qcom to do better in the 2nd half. qcom is about a 100 pe stock now.

i can understand your bitterness, though. i said on this thread that i was in gztc, trps and lgndw - i think it was the nov/dec time frame. i locked in a 300% gztc gain since then. clocked another 200% on trps. racked up another 4 bagger on lgndw. oh, and i STILL left a LOT on the table.

those TERRIBLE stock picks. DOH! :-)

locked in gains.

what has qcom done in that time frame?

it has dropped in value.

so, if you must, call me names, tell folks how evil i am. tell your kids i'm the boogy man. whatever. it is alright.

lesson #1: neva fawl in wuv wif yor stoks. ;-)

btw, qcom (company) has done pretty well under tough circumstances they created for themselves. the second half s/b much better. in fact, it MUST be much better or your stock could get hammered.
