Voltaire,

Yes, psychology is back and the market has rebounded. But we should not forget the pain that last week caused and how many of our collegues were hurt by the manipulative practices of the Houses. Something has to be done about these unethical practices. I feel the most ruthless bank robber has more heart than these white collar thieves, How can they be so greedy?

SO bizarre isn't it. how many time do we need to go through it.. It was good that it happen. It will happen again, most likely Oct. LOL I love the flow of the market it has something for everyone. I got to buy some stocks cheap, but I did sell some on the way down, namely BRCM too cheap. I traded out of others that I thought I hit right. I made few mistakes, but the important thing is to be left standing. You never know, it was out of hand both ways. If the NAZ goes right back in a month I will not be surprised. all and all I'm glad I reduced my holdings in both JDSU and QCOM, now I have cash to expand.. The two of them have been dominating my port... I got to pick up SUNW and NTAP cheap, and added PWAV. did some shorting, had some fun,,, I'm happy.. now we have to wonder if IBM will counter INTC.

psych is back, but several lingering factors remain IMO

- margin usage will be much more cautious from here on out
- higher interest rates serve as a wet blanket
- stocks that move fast will experience rests, pullbacks much more often
- internets and other invisible earners will be met with suspicion
- confidence, cockiness, arrogance, hubris should be more limited
- confidence will return first, but it will be cautious
- arrogance will lose money more quickly than before
- the market will look over its shoulder for a few weeks

I still dont like the period from April 27 to May 16
