Extremely selected Intel thread talk -

"I expect Intel to be absolutely KILLING AMD by the end of the year with all of the new products." - Barry A. Watzman

"One more quarter for AMD to dance and then slam the door." - Tony Viola

Hopes and expectations?

Weren't these same things thought after the Athlon came out?

Aren't Thunderbird and Spitfire coming out this year?

Does everyone know this?

By the way, he's still feeding me inside info on manufacturing. You know AMD's volumes of 10K Athlons at one gigahertz? That was nothing compared to how many gigahertz Coppermines (a.k.a. Gigamines) Intel shipped. That's all for now. (Still can't explain why the GHz Athlon seems to have more visibility in the channel, though.)

I wonder where have all the 1 GHz Coppermine gone?
