The difference between you and j6p is.... that even though you both know you got a bargain, j6p thinks it will make him a millionaire, you don't (and correctly flipped it for the bucks). I share some of your concern re: gold stocks; if the crisis is to be resolved by hyper inflating debts into oblivion then most "houses" will go under, and your paper along with them. Securest bets would be physical gold, followed by keeping certs on your gold stocks in your physical posession. Additionally, if you physically posess Old Yeller, it can't be borrowed for shorting/hedging (not that any of us own enough to make a difference, but hey, its the thought that counts). Besides, its kind of cool looking......
