OT RIMM and BRCM. I hate RIMM, I have a blackberry and can't wait to replace it. it is so buggy and unreliable. their stuff will be built into cell phones before you can say market cap goes to zero. i will replace it with a palm or a handspring or something else. it spends so much time in endless loop reset mode, i've stopped using it for e-mail. when i say their stuff, i don't mean their technology, i mean better alternatives that they won't see a dime for. while brcm is a very powerful company, i have stayed clear because their emphasis more on the lan and cpe equipment means much much much much shorter product cycles. a design win for pmcs or amcc can mean 3 to 7 years of accelerating revenue. td
