Re: One more time, was there no mention of or question about a stock split ?

There's no need. The stock price is heading back to $50 all by itself.

:-)

Intel at 90% .18 by end of year? AMD was 100% .18 this quarter. They will be 40% .15 and 10% .10 by end of year when Intel is still 10% .25

Intel was all set to make a killing as a day trader buying dot com stocks. It was boring, boring, boring, dealing with those whachamacallit FAB thingies all the time. Too bad it didn't work out for them and management is going to have to dirty its hands with the microprocessor business again.

Year on year earnings from operations were down. $2,637 Q1 last year and $2,630 Q1 this year. Intel is going sideways in the computer business - it has beautiful earnings, but its P/E, given its growth, should be a third of what it is now.

Look at the numbers at intel.com
and try to pretend it's some other company, not your beloved Intel. Then see what you think.

Sorry to be a bit nasty about all this, but I think your glasses are rose colored.

Dan

RE: No mention of a stock split.

I believe Intel filed with the SEC to increase shares and will vote on that at the May 17 stockholders meeting.
